23rd Annual Memphis Italian Festival

When: May 31-June 2 2012

Spaghetti and meatballs, y’all. The Memphis Italian Festival opens today bringing with it all the things you love about this massive annual festival — the gravy contest, the bocce tournament, the grape stomp, live music, and more.

New this year is Luigi’s Market, offering cheese, salami, pasta, olive oil, bread, and cannoli all for sale. And, once purchased, you don’t have to drag it around with you. They’ll keep it refrigerated until you’re ready to leave.

For a full schedule of events and more information, go to memphisitalianfestival.com.

Through Saturday.
