I went to the pumpkin patch near the red barn where the nursery is today around 4:45 PM. The older women at the check-out seemed to be very upset that slaves were freed more than 100 years because she treated me like a 2nd class citizen. She didn't say hello like she did with the women in front of me and she asked that I put my card down so she could pick it right back up to swipe it. Then with my hand out waiting on my card back she tossed it on the counter I didnt even to get to use the ink pen that other customers used. She had to search for a pen that I could use when she had 3 next to check out. I should have known something was wrong being the only black couple there. I should have asked around on the chitlin circuit. She didn't look at my face or thank me, I had to remain nice so didn't upset my son. I'll be sure to return alone just to give her a piece of my mind.
