The next time you are looking for a present for that special hoodlum in your life, remember that nothing says "stick 'em up" like a shiny new gun. According to AScribe Newswire, firearms dealers in at least 20 large U.S. cities are ready, willing, and able to break, or bend, the law by selling handguns (well, indirectly anyway) to those who are forbidden to buy them. At least that's the latest word from a UCLA study that polled fire arms dealers in 20 U.S. cities, including Memphis. The study group placed calls to dealers claiming that they were: A) buying the gun for themselves; B) buying the gun for a boy/girlfriend; or C) buying a gun for a boy/girl friend because he/she really "needs it." Opponents of firearms regulation will be happy to learn that in the "needs it" category, more than 50 percent of the dealers were ready to close the deal. In the other categories, the percentage was even higher. So give the gift of guns, because diamonds cost too much and you just can't kill a man with flowers.
