Fred Thompson Lambastes Obama ... We Think

Fred Thompson and his typical young wife.
From TalkRadioNews.com: Former Sen. Fred Thompson (R-Tenn.) while speaking on a conference call with reporters lambasted Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) for being "a typical young liberal who did what was necessary to excel."

Thompson, who was joined by McCain senior foreign policy advisor Randy Scheunemann, joined in with Thompson in critiquing the senator from Illinois on his foreign policy. (Editor's Note: Huh? Seriously. Huh?)

The contention between the McCain and Obama campaigns came after the Supreme Courts 5-4 ruling that would give prisoners at Guantanamo Bay the right to challenge their detention in the American courts. While both McCain and Obama have pledged to close down Guantanamo Bay they differ on whether or not to conduct military tribunals.

Sen. Obama supports allowing the detainees to use the court system while Sen. McCain would like to see the tribunals resurrected ...

Okay, we've read Thompson's statement a dozen times and we still can't figure out what's wrong with being "a typical young liberal who did what was necessary to excel." Maybe you can figure it out.

More drivel here.

As typical with reporting, we don't know what Fred said before or after that. We don't know what he was asked. We have no context at all. Good reporting, good good reporting.

The comment CLEARLY means that Obama will say what he has to to win. That is his goal! His goal isn't to get this country back to it's roots. Barack "Hussein" Obama - Are you actually willing to take a chance on this guy as president of our Unites States? And watch out, he'll probably change his mind like he did regarding accepting public money for political gain. Hmmm, a man that doesn't stick to his word - he's inexperienced - middle name is Hussein. That's enough for me. COMMON SENSE is clear here!!!

Doesn't Obama have more experience than Bush did prior to 2000.

Why should getting this country "back to its roots" be a goal of any candidate? Getting back to what exactly? LIfestyles of the 18th century? Oh, if you mean principles of freedom, equality, rule of law, respect for the Bill of Rights, etc., then I think we'll be just fine with Obama.

John McCain's middle name at birth was Puppyrape. And he still hasn't explained why he refuses to wear American Flag Depends. In light of this information, how can you possibly trust him?

But Obama voted for the Patriot Act Reauthorization. against the Iraq Troop Withdrawal, voted for more federal control with the homeland security First Responder Grants, voted for the Oman and Peru Trade packs, for the Real ID Act, for the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance. Obama doesn't sound like he supports the bill of rights to me.
