Harold Ford Jr. Gets Dissed at Netroots Conference

| July 19, 2008
Memphis' former congressman, now head of the "centrist" Democratic Leadership Council, was politely received when he and opposite number Markos Moulitsas shared a stage in Denver. But that was before he ventured some praise of his erstwhile Fox News colleagues.

After he got hooted, Ford bragged on his erstwhile representation of the folks in Memphis and challenged his critics to come down and "try to beat me" in the Bluff City. (That could mean anything from a reference to running for governor to a hint that Ford, who spends most of his time commuting between Nashville, D.C., and New York, might become more visible in these parts. Or it could mean nothing at all.)

What a pathetic hack. The era of centrist DLC is losers is swiftly coming to an end, thank god.

What, is he planning to get in the ring with Larry Holmes' little sister?

Junior, please don't bring it. We don't want it. If we wanted it, 47% of the people who voted in this weeks lame poll on this very website would not be jokingly blaming the weather on Nikki Tinker.

Oh is that what that poll meant? I took it as meaning that Nikki is responsible for the weather because she's so, you know, hot.
