HOUSTON (AP) - Dante Brown ran for a school-record four touchdowns and finished with 148 yards to lead Memphis to a 52-33 victory over Houston on Saturday night. Memphis (4-2, 2-1 Conference USA) had its highest scoring game of the season as it sent Houston (0-5, 0-3) to its eighth consecutive loss. Brown scored three of his touchdowns in the first half as he rushed 15 times for 78 yards. He broke the record with a 31-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter that gave the Tigers a 52-27 lead. Redshirt freshman Danny Wimprine of Memphis, starting his first game in place of injured starter Travis Anglin (shoulder), was 14-of-21 for 216 yards and two touchdowns. He rushed 15 times for 85 yards and another score. Wimprine drove the Tigers 60 yards in nine plays in the first quarter with Brown running it in from 5 yards. A 22-yard field goal by Ryan White made it 10-0 early in the second. Sophomore Nick Eddy, playing in place of regular starter Kelly Robertson (broken wrist), then drove Houston 70 yards in seven plays. Eddy was 3-of-3 passes for 46 yards and dove the final 2 yards for the touchdown as Houston pulled to 10-7. Memphis scored on its first four possessions in the second half. In the third quarter, Wimprine threw two TD passes and dove a yard for a third score to make it 45-21. Wimprine was 4-of-5 for 109 yards and ran four times for 66 yards in the three drives. Orlando Iglesias caught eight passes for 101 yards and a touchdown for Houston, giving him 37 straight games with at least one reception.
