This amazing shot, from Grizzlies staff photographer Joe Murphy, needs to be on billboards, posters, ticket stubs, T-shirts, whatever:

It was "Ante Up" Tony Allen's night Tuesday at FedExForum, where he kidnapped fools on the way to a franchise record eight steals:

And, after one of them, he gave us something a little extra:

Allen hadn't looked right in a while and had looked downright bad in the first six games after returning from his mid-April injury absence. But he started to get it back Saturday against Portland and then had a classic Tony game last night: Efficient (13 points on 6-9 shooting with only one turnover), dynamic (8 steals, 8 rebounds), and, of course, joyfully manic — with the good vibes extended to his better-than-the-game bench celebrations when Lester Hudson got hot in the second quarter.

Tony's back, y'all. Lots of questions remain as the playoffs approach, but it's nice to feel like Tony Allen's status is no longer one of them.
