Food Event Corrections

That boxy thing with the numbers, otherwise known as a calendar, apparently confused me this week.

Two food events in this week's print edition have date errors.

First up, the Memphis Zoo's Wild World of Wine and Beer is not tonight but Friday, April 16th.

And, the 15th Annual Overton Square Crawfish Festival is Saturday, April 10th, not Sunday as reported.

The Wild World of Wine and Beer is a fund-raiser for the zoo’s Conservation Action Network, with beer and wine and food, plus live entertainment from the Kathryn Stallins Band and a silent auction with animal artwork by Nancy Charles and Betsy Bird.

The event is from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are $40 zoo members, $50 nonmembers.

The Overton Square Crawfish Festival is an annual fund-raiser for the Alzheimer's Association, and this year's event promises to be bigger than ever, with part of Madison closed to traffic.

The Bayou Bar & Grill will provide the crawfish as well as Cajun dishes.

There will also be live music from Star & Micey, the Bulletproof Vests, Jack O & the Tennessee Tearjerkers, and Snowglobe.

The event is from noon-6 p.m.
