The second Farm to Table Conference will be held on Monday, February 6th, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Memphis BioWorks (20 Dudley).

The conference brings together farmers, those in the restaurant industry, consumers, and others to discuss the food system. About 70 people have registered so far for this year's conference, according to Josephine Alexander, former director of GrowMemphis.

A number of organizations and business are involved with the conference, including Whole Foods, the Community Foundation, BioWorks, Healthy Memphis Common Table, Urban Farms, Green Leaf Learning Farm, and Slow Food Memphis.

The conference will be divided into four tracks.

The marketing track includes a panel discussion featuring chefs and farmers. Felicia Willett of Felicia Suzanne's and Mark Newman of Newman Farm are panelists.

The "Engaged Consumerist" track covers CSAs and the farm bill as well as other topics.

The third track has been deemed "Cooperation Is the Name of the Game." Sessions cover collective marketing and branding.

"How to" is the theme of the fourth track. Steve Richardson of Richardson Farms will lead a session on growing vegetables.

Registrations will be accepted through the morning of the conference. For more information, go to growmemphis.org or email Josephine Alexander at josephine@tubbycreekfarm.com.
