Tea Forum

In the urban gay community, the word "tea" signifies a piece of sensitive and possibly highly sought-after information. And that's the kind of information that will be passed along at the Tea Forum on Saturday, June 9th at 1 p.m. at First Congregational Church (1000 S. Cooper).

Hosted by the Red Door Foundation, the forum is designed to educate, empower, and encourage LGBT African-Americans to become more active in standing up for their rights.

Discussion topics for the day include politics, health, domestic violence, gay families, education, SGL (same gender-loving) relationships, and self-efficacy. Attendees will have the chance to meet with emerging leaders of the local African-American LGBT community. Plus, there's free food and entertainment.
