MLGW to Hold Workshop on Reducing Energy Usage to Help Lower Monthly Bills

Memphis Light, Gas, and Water (MLGW) will offer the public a free weatherization workshop Thursday, August, 24 to instruct on ways to reduce energy usage to result in a lower monthly utility bill.

Officials with the utility say attendees of the workshop will receive an MLGW Energy Conservation kit that can be used for energy-efficient repairs.

Additionally, the workshop will be an opportunity for those in need of financial assistance to complete a home weatherization project to learn about receiving a low-interest loan of up to $2,500 through MLGW's Max Impact Home Weatherization Loan Program.

The workshop will be held at the Glenview Community Center from 5:30 to 7:30.
