The posting activity on Sing All Kinds has been a little slow the past few days, but that's about to change. After a brief vacation and a compressed production cycle on the print side, I plan to get busy in SAK world now with coming posts on such Memphis music topics as Jay Reatard, the South Memphis String Band, Bands Not Bombs, $5 Cover, and who knows what else. Meanwhile, my co-editor and Official Sing All Kinds Justin Timberlake Correspondent Greg Akers will continue his JT on SNL countdown and also peak into the afterlife of the Memphis icon who inspired our blog title.

The big news round these parts, though, is the addition of a new scribe to our stable in the form of Andria Lisle. A onetime Flyer regular who has been out of our pages for awhile, Andria is one of the city's best voices on the subject of Memphis and Mid-South culture. She's returning as an occasional contributor to our print edition, but will join me, Greg, and Chris Davis as a Sing All Kinds regular. Adding Andria to the mix should be a huge boon to the quality — and frequency — of the content on this site. We're excited to have her coming aboard.
