The Warm Up: Deering & Down — "Out There Somewhere"

Local bluesy rock duo Deering & Down dropped in at Ardent Studios yesterday ahead of their record-release show at the Hi-Tone Café and performed their song "Out There Somewhere," the title track off their new album, which was recorded with the late Willie Mitchell and his son Boo Mitchell at his Royal Studios:

The duo hung around afterward to talk with Warm Up host Rachel Hurley and play a few more songs:

Deering & Down play the Hi-Tone Café tonight. Doors open at 9 p.m.. Admission is $5. Guests are expected to include members of Lucero and the Hi Rhythm Section, who played on the album. J.D. Reager talked to the duo in this week's Flyer.
