Hot on the heels of Memphis Fashion Weekend, BRIDGES put together a showcase of local designers last Saturday. "Sharing Our World Through Fashion" was both a fund-raiser and a celebration of local talent, including that of Costa Rican native, Yendry Alvord, stylist Andrea Fenise, Eric Evans of Sache, and Jack Sehnert.
While we weren't able to stick around for the whole show, which featured Yendry Alvord's full Spring 2012 Collection, the pre-show offered us a peek at what local designers have been working on.
Emcee Mearl Purvis kicked things off by introducing a sampling of Yendry Alvord's collections, spanning multiple seasons:
Next up, the stylings of Andrea Fenise:
Sache's Eric Evans then introduced his line of fun all-ages wear, complete with adorable kids and a cheeky, playful show:
And rounding out the evening was Jack Sehnert's line of active wear meets South Asia, with brightly colored patterns, rich fabrics and silks, and sporty cuts:
So far, it's been an exciting spring for fashion in Memphis. Here's to much more of where that came from.
