Police in Dublin, Ohio, have just wrapped up an investigation into the alleged rape of a high school lacrosse player by two of his coaches.
The team was in Memphis when the incident is believed to have occurred, and further investigation is being conducted here. In late April, volunteer coach Greg Simpson allegedly held down the student on the teams charter bus while assistant coach Dustin Pentz assaulted him with a gloved hand. The two have since been fired.
In Memphis, a referee, who could serve as a possible witness, is being interviewed. Jim Lemmy, an assistant district attorney for Shelby County, says an indictment could be at least three months away. For more, go here.
