Isaac Hayes is the "latest celebrity-turned-lobbyist," Roll Call reports.

Hayes, composer of the Oscar-winning theme to Shaft – "the black private dick that’s a sex machine to all the chicks" – stopped by "Capitol Hill this week lobbying on behalf of the recording industry, chatting with members of Congress about the importance of making sure songwriters and artists such as himself are fairly compensated and all that," Mary Ann Akers writes.

Hayes also met with outgoing Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist.
