Designing Woman Too Gay for Nashville?

Former Designing Women star Delta Burke and Will and Grace writer/producer Leslie Jordan were "disinvited" from a scheduled appearance the Nashville CBS affiliate's morning show.

Burke and Jordan were booked to discuss two of Jordan's plays, "Southern Baptist Sissies," about four gay men in the church, and "Sordid Lives," a coming-out story about a family planning for a funeral.

A spokesperson for the station said: "We are dealing with a very conservative viewership who I feel would be offended by the show's titles and their topics."

Instead, the show booked Randy Travis, George Jones, and Ken Mehlman, who promised to talk only about god-fearin' Nashville family values. Not.
