Profiles include the Grand Ole Opry’s Minnie Pearl, reformer Fanny Wright, and environmental-justice activist Doris Bradshaw, among others. Local women’s-history expert Sarah Wilkerson Freeman edited the book, along with Beverly Greene Bond.
