Burns and Allen Concede; Dems Take Senate

No, not them. They're, uh, dead. And you're pretty close yourself if that's who you thought of when you read that headline.

No, we're talking about George "Macaca" Allen and Conrad Burns, the soon-to-be former Republican senators from Virginia and Montana, respectively. They both conceded their close races for Senate today, giving the Democrats a 51-49 majority.

Makes us wonder how things might have been different if Harold Ford Jr. had started calling himself "Tennessee Ernie." Just a thought. Not necessary a good one, just a ... thought. Anyway, click on number 2 over there and tell us that guy couldn't be a senator. Heck, from the looks of that finger, he's even got a personal relationship with Jesus.
