Ford to Cohen: 'Can support you, but not endorse you.'


That was what congressman and senatorial wannabe Harold Ford Jr. told Democratic nominee Steve Cohen, Ford’s would-be 9th District successor last week. Ford had previously said he regarded both Cohen and independent candidate Jake Ford (who happens to be his brother) as Democrats and wouldn’t take sides. Meanwhile, brother Jake was getting his yard signs out, and getting his own endorsement from a local Democratic committeeman. Question: Who does this hurt most? Cohen or Ford himself?
