New work by painter Tom Murray. “Noumenon,” the philosophers say, is a thing known without input from the senses, in contrast to “phenomenon,” which is something perceived by our senses. Noumenon is the concept behind many of Murray’s abstract paintings. He has painted two series: “Soft Noumenon” and “Hard Noumenon.” Go see, infer, or deduce his latest forays into abstraction tonight.
