How much is that doggie in the backyard? Two boys were walking their dogs on Beaumont last week when a man stopped them because their rottweiler looked a lot like the dog that disappeared from his backyard the week before. The two boys confessed to taking his dog, as well as a pit bull from someone else's yard, and keeping them in a vacant house. When officers asked why they took the dogs, one of the boys said "because they are pretty." The rottweiler's owner only wanted the boys to know they couldn't take people's dogs just because they liked them. The pit bull's owner, however, did want to prosecute, saying it wasn't the first time the boys had taken his dog.
