The Rocketboys, Death On Two Wheels, This Is Goodbye

When: Sat., Aug. 7, 10 p.m. 2010

Born out of the promising, Radiohead-inspired, post-high-school band Dora, which started playing local clubs nearly a decade ago, This Is Goodbye emerged mid-decade as a more melodic, more confident variation on Dora’s art-rock sound. The band seemed like it had a chance to develop into something significant but broke up instead. Perhaps spurred by having their music featured in the new local film Daylight Fades, the band — Brandon Herrington, Jared Rawlinson, Seth Hendricks, Wil Deshazo, and Landon Moore — is reuniting. The reconstituted This Is Goodbye takes the stage Saturday, August 7th, at Young Avenue Deli, with Rocketboys and Death on Two Wheels. Showtime is 9 p.m. Following the comeback show, they’ll be offering a free re-release of their EP Shapes & Numbers, with new music added.
