Webb Turns Out School Board Vet Johnson

Veteran Memphis school board member Carl Johnson, who came within a percentage point of winning his reelection race outright in November, succumbed to opponent Sharon Webb, a Whitehaven minister and member of the Charter Commission, in Tuesday's runoff for Position 6. In an election characterized by a light turnout, Web won 54 percent to Johnson's 46 percent.
